Krishna Bharadwaj of Tenali Rama fame told us, “It’s been 15 years that I am in Bombay and Tenali Rama happened after 12 years or my Bombay life. Those 12 years I worked and struggled a lot. So, when I started giving interviews for Tenali Rama and started interacting with people, I always mentioned in each of my interview about Irrfan Khan and how inspired I am with his life. He also started his career from TV and then he did Bollywood films and then after that, he did films in Hollywood and became an international figure. He also struggled a lot. He did Salaam Bombay in 1988-89 and he got his recognition after a lot of struggling years, so I always felt related to him and always got inspired by his life. He was always someone whom I looked up to and wanted to become like and on top of that, the films he did were absolutely amazing. His one film called 'Kissa' which was a Punjabi film not many must have seen or known about it but I had seen it and it made me so depressed that I was haunted by his eyes, voice and everything in that film. Then I found him on social media and I remember messaging him that your eyes are still haunting me. So, Irrfan Khan has unknowingly been a very big part of my life and today since morning I have been feeling so sad. It’s such a heavy feeling. Everybody is saying that it’s a personal loss but I actually feel that thing in my heart. It’s a very sad day for me.
The TV actor also took to his social media to share his grief –

Rest in peace Sir #IrrfanKhan ?
TV actress Kriti Varma stated, "I got so sad to learn about the demise of the legendary actor Irrfan Khan. It’s a huge loss to the industry. Sad to the core. He was pure talent. In this holy month of Ramzan, may Allah grant him peace. It’s correctly said that god takes his favourite kids sooner. His work has inspired soo many artists like me and was an inspiration for all of us. His sheer talent and humbleness had taken him soo far in his life but now..we are unfortunate that we won't be able to witness his presence any more. You will always be remembered and your place in our heart will always be there. RIP Irrfan Sir. We at Desimartini hope, Irrfan Khan's family gets all the strength and courage to bear the loss.
We also got in touch with actor Arjun Bijlani who couldn't control his emotions while he spoke, "Last night, I saw Angrezi Medium I Tweeted also because Radhika Madan is also there and she is a good friend of mine. Suddenly this news came today and I am not able to understand what happened. My mind is disturbed and I am broken, it is too shocking. I was a huge fan and he was an actor who was everybody’s inspiration for the roles that he played. It is disturbing to hear that he is gone away especially in this lockdown because in this situation fans can’t even go to pay their last respects. So it’s a sad day and I am sure many actors are going to grieve this for a very long time.

In the scene, you will feel that the lines he said he didn’t say from the mouth, he said from his eyes. My favourite films of his are Paan Singh Tomar, Angrezi medium, Hindi Medium. He was so natural on screen. I learnt so much just looking at him."
