Kangana Ranaut Reveals She Was Offered A Film With Sushant, This Is Why She Had To Reject It

Kangana Ranaut is in hot pursuit of the reasons which led Sushant Singh Rajput to end his life. The actress who claims she wants to unmask the perpetrators who wronged the late actor in Bollywood because of his ‘outsider’ status admits she was in 2017 offered a film opposite him but had to pass on the opportunity at the time.

Cocktail director Homi Adajania was considering casting Kangana and Sushant in a romantic film back in 2017. In an interview with Bombay Times, the actress recalled how she had just been served a legal notice from Hrithik Roshan when she was offered the film and she didn’t sign any films of an entire year.

She tells the publication, “I still remember that day when Homi called me to his office. I was about to step out and I was given the legal notice that Hrithik Roshan had sent me about criminal charges. In a dazed state, I went to Homi, and he narrated me a love story and I could not just focus on it because I was so shattered. I told him I would revisit it, but nobody knew my state of mind. After that, for one year, the kind of filth that I faced, the kind of butchering that I faced, I didn’t sign any film that year, but I vaguely remember that story. It was a love story about an urban couple.”

The actress claims she never crossed paths with Sushant and never knew him personally except a few common acquaintances including the late actor’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. Kangana wonders if they had worked together would things be different and says, “Would I be his friend and would I have given him a perspective for not longing for acceptance? I don't know what I would do on finding such an amazing person.”

Various films Sushant was to be a part of have been talked about after his death including films like Sanjay Leela Banshali’s Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Shekhar Kapur’s Paani, Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend and with these names come various questions that the police is still finding answers to.
