Kangana Ranaut Slams Mumbai Police, Says Will Return Padma Shri If Unable To Prove Statements In Sushant’s Death Case
Kangana Questions Mumbai Police
Updated : July 18, 2020 02:10 PM ISTActor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise has sent shockwaves across Bollywood. Netizens are enraged and people are accusing Bollywood biggies of harboring nepotism in the industry. Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff, Ekta Kapoor and many others have come under the scanner. Many of them have also been receiving hate messages on their social media while some have lost out on a number of fan following too.
Actress Kangana Ranaut was vocal about nepotism right from the start, she had also shared a video on Instagram stating how Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was a planned murder and not a suicide. In her video, she further stated that no one acknowledged Sushant’s work while he was alive. Recently in an interview with Republic TV Kangana made shocking claims about the film industry and went on to further state that she will return her Padma Shri if she is unable to prove her statements about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
In the course of the conversation Kangana revealed, she had been summoned by the Mumbai Police for interrogation in the Sushant Singh Rajput case but because she is Manali, she asked them to send someone to take her statement but the actress didn’t receive any reply after that. She has been quoted as saying, “They summoned me, and I asked them too, that I’m in Manali, that you can send somebody to take my statement, but I have not received anything after that. I am telling you, if I have said anything, which I can’t testify, which I can’t prove, and which is not in the public domain, I will return my Padma Shri.”

She also declared, “I don’t deserve it. I am not that person who will go on record (to make such statements), and everything that I have said is in the public domain.”
Kangana further questioned Mumbai Police for not summoning Mahesh Bhatt, Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar and Rajeev Masand. The Manikarnika actress stated, “I am not saying that anyone wanted Sushant to die, but definitely doomed. These people are emotional vultures. They want to see people lynch themselves. To date, Mahesh Bhatt is selling Parveen Babi's illness in so many versions through his films. Why is Mumbai Police not summoning — Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rajeev Masand? These 4 people. Why, because they are powerful? With this interview, I only have things to lose."
