Updated : April 20, 2021 05:52 PM ISTKangana Ranaut is fasting for Navratri today and on Ashtami (the eighth day of fasting) the actress shared with her fans a picture of a wholesome meal prepared on the occasion by her family. Well, unfortunately for the actress the simple festive post had several users pointing a finger at her after they spotted sliced onions in the meal.
Onions that are forbidden during the nine days of Navrati led to Kangana having to answer several questions and counter many trolls. Replies to her tweet were full of people debating traditions pertaining to consuming onions during the nine-day festival. The debate went so far that ‘onions’ became a top trend on Twitter.
Extending Ashtami wishes Kangana and written, “Imagine to be fasting on ashtami when parsadam in your house looks like this .... अष्टमी की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ” along with the picture of the thali.
After trolls ripped her post apart for serving onions as parsadam the actress while replying to a user clarified, “Yes but only I am fasting in my house, I made it clear I am fasting today and not eating that’s precisely the post, I decorated that thali for my brother who just came home for some work, he can eat what he wants. Some people are really slow huh...!”
