Kangana Slams Mukesh For Comparing Sushant To Parveen Babi
Updated : June 18, 2020 12:05 PM ISTOne of the most adored and talented actors of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput bid the world a final adieu on 14th June. It was reported that he was under depression since the past few months and police also found medical prescriptions for the same in his Bandra house. Buzz suggests that Sushant was shut out from Bollywood and many fans along with celebrities have blamed the self-appointed ‘gatekeepers of the Hindi film industry’ for forcing the actor to take the drastic step.

While the film industry mourned Sushant’s death, Mukesh Bhatt stated that he saw it coming and felt that the actor was going the ‘Parveen Babi way’. The actress was rumored to have been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, although she denied the reports. Actress Kangana Ranaut, who felt that the industry made Sushant feel ‘worthless’ and treated him like an outsider, called out the producer in a recent chat with Pinkvilla. She revealed that Mukesh’s brother Mahesh Bhatt met Hrithik Roshan after the actor’s relationship with Kangana went downhill and had declared that ‘tragic end is very near’ for the actress.
She shared, “Now his brother is jumping into this whole thing and claiming that Sushant was turning Parveen Babi. Who is he to say that? Sushant was a rank holder; he also left a scholarship from Stanford University to pursue his dreams. Something that their (Bhatt) children cannot even think of. Tomorrow, if their children hang themselves on the roof and somebody jumps up and comments that it just happened because they were becoming like Parveen Babi, I want to see how they feel about it.”

While Kangana and Sushant did not know each other personally, they had common friends such as Sandip Ssingh and Kamal Jain. When the actress heard about Sushant’s death, she called Kamal and asked if he knew anything. He told her that he had spoken to Sushant last Monday and the actor was very disturbed. In fact, he had never spoken like that before. Remembering the conversation, Kangana shared, “He had told Kamal Ji: Make a big film with me yaar. I've given Chhichhore, I've given a hit film but I still don't have any big films. I don't have the work I want. Kamal Ji assured him to do something together once the lockdown is lifted. They were supposed to meet on Thursday, but then this happened. So, clearly, he was anxious about work and he was anxious about the way people have cornered him.”
Kangana further stated that she knows that the biggies of Bollywood ganged up on him and made him feel cornered. She even said that she is ready to talk about it openly if an investigation is done, because there’s enough proof in the media.
