Dharma Suspends Production Work Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

While schools and colleges are being shut down, many offices are asking the employees to work from home. The COVID-19 scare struck our Hindi film industry as well and the release date of much-awaited films such as Sooryavanshi and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has been postponed indefinitely. Irrfan’s Angrezi Medium will also be re-released once the threat of COVID-19 has subsided.
Today, Karan Johar took to his social media handle to announce that his production banner Dharma is suspending all administrative and production work until further notice. He wrote: “All of us at @dharmamovies @dharma2pointo @dharmaticent wish for the well being of the members of our work family and every citizen of the world ...we pray that the world can overcome this situation as soon as possible! God speed to everyone and stay safe and sanitised!”
Well, this is not all. Theatres in Delhi have been shut down till 31st march and the shooting schedules of many upcoming films have been cancelled. Some of the most-anticipated projects that have been put on hold include Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Brahmastra featuring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
