Kartik Aaryan is one of the busiest bees of Bollywood at the moment; here’s proof

After wrapping Dhamaka in a record breaking 10 days span, Kartik Aaryan surprised everyone with his speed and commitment towards making the film happen. Diving deep into work in the latter half of the pandemic, he has been on a roll with multiple announcements, while commencing shoots for his upcoming films. Currently, he has six films announced with speculations of many more projects, hence resulting in an impressive filmography ahead. The enviable line-up not only proves that the actor is the busiest heartthrob in town and is always clicked around the city, but it also shows that the young talented actor is exploring quite superbly as an artiste that audience is waiting to catch on screen.

Gearing up for the release of Ram Madhvani's Dhamaka, Kartik will be seen in a never seen before avatar. He will be seen playing an intense and intriguing character in his first ever thriller. The makers had released a teaser, earlier this year and boy, Kartik amazed everyone in that short glimpse with his act. Post which, shifting gears rapidly to a much different and light-hearted zone with his horror comedy, Kartik will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, major chunk of shoot for which has already been wrapped. The actor is terrific with his comic timing and now with horror mixed in this one, audience can be sure that Aaryan will have another side to flaunt and leave them asking for more.

Recently, he announced his latest collaboration with Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani for Shashanka Ghosh directorial Freddy, the shoot of which has begun already. Venturing into the unexplored terrains of a dark romantic thriller, Kartik will unfold a new layer of his versatility in the upcoming film. A lot is not revealed about the film and the actor has even kept his look under-wraps, which doubles up the curiosity.

Stepping into the uncharted territories even further, Kartik would then slip into the grand musical love story backed by Sajid Nadiadwala's NGE Productions and Namah Pictures, which has created a huge anticipation amongst the audience ever since the announcement. The intriguing backdrop of the story and background music has piqued everyone's interest to witness the actor in an all new avatar.

Moving on to his first ever patriotic film, Captain India will showcase Kartik donning a uniform for the first time as he plays an airforce officer in the Hansal Mehta directorial. Ever since the announcement, netizens have flaunted their excitement with abundance of comments and wishes flooding social media. This is his first collaboration with Mehta and everyone knows that when the filmmaker picks an actor to headline his hard-hitting films, that actor is surely in for a challenging role. 

While everyone awaits the official announcement of Shehzada, the remake of Ala Vaikunthpuramuloo, fans have already drawn parallels to the character with several dance and workout videos posted by the actor. This South remake is packed with drama, emotions, dance, action and is solid entertainment in the offering, and this seems to be a genre that Kartik excels in – entertainment, entertainment and entertainment!

Says a senior trade expert, “It is common in the industry to have hearsay around multiple film announcement for stars. There isn’t anything right or wrong about it, but what is required is for such things to eventually materialise as well. This is what sets apart Kartik from his contemporaries. While with others you hear an announcement a month, Kartik has gone ahead and actually signed 4 new films and that too in just 2-3 months. Moreover, the makers have further substantiated that by even releasing posters and making additional announcements. That shows the kind of equity that Kartik has built in Bollywood already.”

He goes on to add. “Moreover, Kartik is continuing to give certain minimum guarantee for each of his films. Recently a colleague of mine, who is also a senior trade expert, wrote in his column that how 1000 crores is riding on Kartik, considering each film of his is expected to fetch 150-175 cross by means of theatrical, satellite, OTT and music rights. That’s a fair assessment in fact. Each of the filmmakers who are working with Kartik knows his real potential and this is the reason why he is already booked till middle of next year. The industry needs that as well once theatres are back in business. Till then, Kartik is making sure that he works hard, acts smart, and get his movies in place to ensure a steady line up.” 

With a long list of films to look forward to, Kartik is undoubtedly one of the busiest actors of the industry currently, promising explosive performances in the near future. Each of his current projects is a big-budget offering with even bigger stories to tell. Now all that one looks forward to is normalcy to return at the theatres and let the show begin.
