Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 To Get A Theatrical Release, Makers Waiting For Further Relaxations To Resume Shoot

The Covid-19 related ban on film shoots in Mumbai has now been lifted but the Maharashtra government has only allowed shoots to continue up to 5 pm in secure bio bubbles. The relaxation has come as a relief but precautionary restrictions still in place might not allow filmmakers to get a whole lot of work done and keeping this in mind, Bhool Bulaiyaa 2 producer Murad Khetani says that the shoot for the film will only resume when restrictions are eased further.

“We may not be able to shoot in a bio bubble, which is the current rule to shoot in Mumbai, as it’s difficult process. We will wait for Mumbai to come to Level 2 status and then plan the shooting. At the rate at which Mumbai is performing and Covid-19 numbers are reducing and we might get to Level 2 within a week,” he told ETimes.

The horror-comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani has mostly completed shoot since it originally began in October 2019 and the Mumbai schedule might be the final one.

The release date of the film which Kartik had earlier revealed was set for November 2021 will also see a change. Murad Khetani claims there is no date which has been decided upon and further clarified that the film will arrive in theatres. “We haven't planned the release date but ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ will release in cinemas whenever the film is ready,” he told the publication.

Helmed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Tabu and Rajpal Yadav among others.
