Bollywood Mourns The Death Of Music Composer Khayyam
Updated : August 20, 2019 10:02 AM ISTThe death of musical maestro Mohammed Zahir Hashmi aka Khayyam has come as a big shock to the nation especially to the Hindi film industry for which he composed some of best classical songs. The musician passed away late last evening in a private hospital after being ill for a brief period of time. He was 92.
The National Award winning composer gave Bollywood some of its best in music and an era in classical music has certainly ended with his passing. Known for his music in movies like Kabhie Kabhie, Trishul, Razia Sultan, Noorie and Umrao Jaan, Khayyam sahib has certainly left behind a musical legacy that can never be recreated.
