Malang Receives An A-Certificate
Updated : January 29, 2020 02:53 PM ISTDisha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Anil Kapoor’s Malang is a Mohit Suri directorial. While the actors in the film are in a promotional spree, their film has received an A Certificate, (only for adults certificate).
The film has a lot of scenes involving sex, violence and drugs and therefore the curiosity level for this film is at the hilt amongst the audiences (the younger lot especially).
Having said that, these fans don’t understand that such scenes cannot be retained in the film due to objections raised by certain sections of the society and therefore it is more than evident that the censor board is going to come into play and chop off scenes that might offend any sensibility.
In this film too, there are certain scenes and obscene language which has been chopped off by the Central Board of Film Certification. However, the hot scenes between Disha and Aditya have not been chopped off.
According to a TOI report, Mohit Suri’s Malang has been granted ‘A’ certificate from CBFC. Along with the certification, they have also chopped off verbal cuts where there has been a use of drug-related terms like ‘ecstasy,’ ‘pot,’ and ‘joint.’ The board did not have any issue with the intimate scenes between Disha and Aditya. The reports further stated that CBFC has also asked to remove a particular scene involving a religious symbol.
Not just these cuts, the CBFC have also urged the makers to include a disclaimer during the filming which will contain a message that the characters of Malang do not support any kind of violence or atrocities against women.
The film is slated for a release on the 7th February ’20.
