Pagglait: Sanya Malhotra Starrer To Release Directly On OTT In Two Months?

Sanya Malhotra has wowed us with her performances in2020. She was seen in films like Shakuntala Devi and Ludo, and her performance was praised by one and all. In Shakuntala Devi, she played the titular character's daughter, while in Ludo, she was paired opposite Aditya Roy Kapur and played a girl who wanted to get married to a rich guy, but got stuck in an MMS scandal. 2021 would also let the audiences see her on-screen, but looks like it would be on the computer or mobile screens instead of the big screens.

We are talking about Sanya's upcoming film Pagglait, which would be heading directly for a digital release. According to a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, “Pagglait was completed somewhere in February 2020, just before the lockdown. It’s a slice-of-life comedy and the makers feel it’s apt for an OTT platform. Hence, they decided to release it on Netflix”.

Directed by Umesh Bisht, Pagglait will have just one lead- Sanya. The film also stars Sayani Gupta, Sharib Hashmi, Ashutosh Rana, and Sheeba Chaddha. Interestingly, Sanya Malhotra's other upcoming film, Meenakshi Sundaram, which co-stars Abhimanyu Dassani and is being produced by Karan Johar, will also release on Netflix. Apart from these two projects, she would be seen in Love Hostel opposite Vikrant Massey and co-starring Bobby Deol.
