Parth Samthaan To Make His Bollywood Debut Opposite Alia Bhatt, But Not With Gangubai Kathiawadi

For many months now, the news of Parth Samthaan's Bollywood debut has been doing the rounds. It was said that the reason why Parth left Kasautii Zindagii Kay was that he wanted to focus on his presence in Bollywood and move forward. It was also rumoured that he might make his debut opposite Alia Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiawadi, but that turned out to be untrue. But now, it does look like he would indeed make his debut opposite Alia, even though the project would not be Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next.

If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, then Parth will make his Bollywood debut with Resul Pookutty's debut directorial, Piharwa. A source quoted by the portal said, "Parth has signed Resul Pookutty's Piharwa that also stars Alia. The film is based on the life story of martyr Harbhajan Singh and has the India-China war as its backdrop. The movie will have a romantic angle around Alia and Parth's characters and will be set in two eras."

The work on the film will start only after Alia finishes shoot for Brahmastra, RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. The same report states that Parth is also currently busy shooting for his web debut and might do another digital project before he starts work for the film. However, no confirmation of the same has been made officially.
