Ranvir Shorey Exposes Nepotism And Politics In Bollywood With An Actual Incident From An Award Show
Ranvir Shorey On Nepotism And Politics In Bollywood
Updated : June 16, 2020 02:51 PM ISTThe nepotism debate in Bollywood has once more cropped up after the unfortunate passing of actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was said to be clinically depressed for the past six months. The illness is said to be the reason behind him taking his own life on June 14.
The 34-year-old actor’s death has been mourned by several Bollywood celebrities some of whom even claimed to have been aware of Sushant’s battle with depression but never came to his aid when he apparently needed support. His Sonchiraya co-star Ranvir Shorey who is deeply moved by his passing has started the whole conversation about ‘gatekeepers of Bolllywood’ and fake and ruthless side of the business in a series of tweets.

But of course, the coterie that owns the only high stakes table in the casino will never be questioned, because everyone is too busy enjoying the game.
Even if they know it’s fixed.
The actor has once again taken a jibe on the nepotistic industry and narrated an incident from an award show where a star kid co-hosting the show won the best actor trophy which was presented to him by his parents. While the actor did not mention the reason for posting such a tweet the aim seems to be exposing the hypocrisy of the business.

A star kid is co-hosting the show. They announce the next category - Best Actor. The nominees are played out, and the star kid is one of the nominees. Surprise-surprise!

This is how mainstream Bollywood is a family.
- The End -
Ranvir was one of the few co-stars of Sushant Singh Rajput who attended his funeral on Monday along with the late actor’s family.
