Rishi Kapoor Ailing From Cancer In New York
Updated : April 30, 2019 12:42 PM ISTRishi Kapoor has spent a while in New York ailing from an illness that his fans know nothing about. The actor had last year in September announced that he was heading to the U.S. for, ‘some medical treatment’ but never actually came out in the open about the nature of his disease. Several reports suggest that he will be back in India very soon and so far many celebrities have paid Rishi Kapoor a visit in New York including Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Anupam Kher and Sonali Bendre while fans prayed for his recovery back in India. While many speculations were made that the veteran actor might be suffering from cancer, all such reports were soon shot down by Rishi Kapoor himself or his family.

I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus”of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes,I will be back soon!

Recently director Rahul Rawail paid the actor and visit and made a startling revelation about his health. A Facebook post by the filmmaker stated ‘Rishi Kapoor (Chintu) is cancer free!!!!’ The news is certainly worrisome but it is indeed a relief to know that Rishi Kapoor is ailing well. There has been no confirmation on the news from the Kapoor family.
Last month Ranbir Kapoor too had said that his father will be back in India soon sending a round of cheer amongst the fans praying for his health. At an award show Ranbir revealed, “He’s doing very well, and he will be back very soon. He is missing the movies and working in films. I really hope that with all your wishes and prayers he comes back very soon.”
