50 Crores Withdrawn From Sushant’s Bank Account
Updated : August 04, 2020 09:59 AM ISTThe past few days have been a little too heavy on the fans and family of Sushant Singh Rajput because of the twists and turns that have emerged in the case of the deceased actor.
The actor died in his Mumbai apartment on the 14th June, ’20, after over a month of silent witnessing, Sushant’s father, Mr. KK Singh filed and F.I.R.in Patna police station against Rhea Chakraborty and five others and all hell broke loose. Many different sides to the investigation are now coming to the fore.
It was on the 3 June, that Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey questioned the Mumbai police why did not they investigate the money trail while probing Sushant’s suicide?
“In the past four years, around Rs 50 crore was credited to the bank account of Sushant Singh Rajput but surprisingly all of it was withdrawn. In one year, Rs 17 crore was credited to his account, out of which Rs 15 crore was withdrawn. Isn’t this a crucial point to be investigated? We are not going to sit quiet. We will question them (Mumbai Police) as to why such leads are hushed up,” the DGP told the media.
Yesterday, the Mumbai police commissioner addressed the media and revealed that 56 witnesses in the case have already been interrogated and he further said that the Bihar police shouldn’t have intervened in the case and should have handed over the case to the Mumbai police after the F.I.R. was filed in Patna and now they [Mumbai police] are seeking legal recourse on the matter.
