Sanjana Sanghi Slaps Co-Star In An Ad 8 Times, Receives Huge Backlash For Promoting Violence Against Men
Sanjana Sanghi's Latest Ad Draws Major Backlash
Updated : December 10, 2020 01:25 PM ISTAn ad featuring Dil Bechara actress Sanjana Sanghi has landed in trouble for promoting violence against men. The actress and the makers of the ad have been receiving flak online for showing her slapping a man 8 times.
The ad is for a new OTT platform and Sanjana and her co-star are shown struggling to pick what to watch, when he asks her she slaps him 8 times till he tells her to stop and she decides they’d watch the eighth film on the app. The idea was to show how one can avoid doing ‘crazy things’ to select what to watch by downloading the app.
Actress Pooja Bedi reacted to the ad saying she’s absolutely horrified and that it should never have cleared the advertising board. In a tweet Pooja wrote, Absolutely HORRIFIED 2 watch this advt. Domestic violence against men is NOT acceptable. What if a man was slapping a woman in this advt? This should NEVER CLEAR an advertising board! #men have rights!
