Sara Ali Khan v/s Janhvi Kapoor: Who Is The Most Sensational Debutante Of 2018?

Can we all just agree that 2018 has been a great year for content in Bollywood? From variety of narratives and genres to amazing performances and right film doing phenomenally at the box-office, 2018 would probably be a year that every Hindi cinema lover would be proud of.

One of the main factors behind such freshness in content this year has also been a surge of new talent in the industry. While there are many new faces that have entertained, it is probably Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan that has mostly been talked about. While two are actually close friends in real life, the comparsions are unavoidable.  From box-office opening figures to social media domination, we tried to find who is acing their debut game in 2018 between Janhvi and Sara. Here is what we found.

Opening Day Box-Office

While Sara’s debut vehicle Kedarnath managed to have a pretty great opening with 7.25 crores, Janhvi’s debut Dhadak earned a whopping 8.5 crores at the box-office on its opening day.

‘Bigger’ Debut

When it comes to debuts, especially of star kids, the budget of the film shows how much money producers are going to risk relying on your star appeal. While Kedarnath has been made on a budget of 35 crores and Dhadak has been made on a budget of 41 crores which are both pretty decent for any debutante.

Instagram Followers

This is probably the best way to gauge the popularity of these two rising stars of Bollywood. Last time counted Janhvi was winning the Instagram followers race with 3.1 million followers against Sara’s 2.1 million.

Fashion Splurge

This one can be a little tricky. Both the girls are often spotted in extravagant fashion choices and relaxed and relateable looks. While we have spotted Sara donning those multi-lakh bags and mini clutches, Janhvi is probably a little more extravagant with her fashion choices and it is almost rare to not spot her in seriously expensive clothes or accessories.

Brand Endorsements

After her debut, Janhvi has already bagged an endorsement deal with the beauty brand Nykaa, while Sara is yet to sign her first endorsement deal. However, we have to mention her that Janhvi’s debut happened about 5 months before Sara and she reportedly refused an endorsement deal after Karan Johar suggested her to not take up endorsements before her debut.
