Sayani Gupta who plays Damini Rizvi Roy in the series has also been counting the days just like the avid watchers of the show but there is a difference. She has been counting the days to the third season!
Yes, that’s right. Well, the creative team of the show including the actors were all set to kick off the shoot for the third season earlier this month. It was during an interaction with Mid-Day that Sayani revealed, “We were supposed to start shooting in the first week of April with schedules planned across India and abroad but the shoot is on hold for now.”
Well, the coronavirus pandemic has stalled everything. Seems the shooting for the show has also received the blow. The actress is unison with those who agree that the crew has a lot of time now because the next season is set for a ’21 release, she does admit that the shoot for the said season is currently in limbo. “I don’t k ow when we begin shooting for the show” Sayani has been quoted as saying in the report.
The report further states that the actor is very pleased with the kind of response the second season has been getting by the viewers. She has been quoted as saying, “There has been tremendous curiosity around the upcoming season of the women-led offering. Gupta has been further quoted as saying, “A lot of people have been texting me every day, asking why we haven’t released the show yet. People are bored sitting at home and so they want to watch the series as soon as they can. In that sense it is releasing at the right time.” The actor also further admitted, “The only companies that are making a profit these days are Netflix and Amazon.”
In the report, she has been further quoted as affirming, that this installment of the series that has been directed by Nupur Asthana will be “grander and bigger”. Well, the first season was not quite accepted by the audiences and the show bore the brunt of it and now in the report, Sayani has accepted the fact and has been quoted as saying, “there were certain things that did not work in the first season, so we have made sure not to repeat our mistakes.”
