Shamshera Shoot To Not Resume This Week As Doctors Advise Sanjay Dutt To ‘Avoid Strenuous Activities’

Updated : August 11, 2020 01:10 PM ISTRanbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt starrer dacoit drama Shamshera was to resume shoot this week after the lockdown delayed the shoot and also the film's originally planned June 2020 release. The film just had a small part to be shot. Ranbir had earlier met director Karan Malhotra and it was decided that he shoot would resume once the lockdown restrictions have been eased. The makers had acquired the necessary permissions and were to begin shoot in a Mumbai based studio.
However, actor Sanjay Dutt’s infirmity has halted all the plans. Sanjay was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on Saturday night after he complained of breathlessness and chest pain. The actor tested negative for COVID-19 and he was discharged from the hospital and returned home on the 10th August, ’20. However, the doctor advised him bed rest.
A source has been quoted by Mid-Day as saying, "Sanjay sir has only three days' work remaining. While he was discharged yesterday, the doctors have advised him to avoid strenuous activities. He will rest it out for four to five days before reporting to work."
