Fans Celebrate MCU's First Asian Superhero Shang Chi
Updated : April 20, 2021 01:46 PM ISTThe Marvel Cinematic Universe has made an exciting new addition to the superhero troop that will lead Phase 4. Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the first film in MCU with an Asian protagonist making it another step in making the universe more diverse after Black Panther.
The trailer of the film starring Canadian star Simu Liu as the Shang Chi dropped on Monday, the actor’s birthday, and it has blown away the minds fans. The teaser trailer sets the tone for the action extravaganza that awaits and fans can’t over the combat sequences which Liu has performed to perfection.

The story shows Shang-Chi, a trained warrior who has left his past behind and been leading an ordinary life for the past 10 years, being drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings has been directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz and will release in theaters in India in 6 languages - English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
