Siddharth Anand To Begin Shooting For War Sequel After Wrapping Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Pathan? Deets Inside
Siddharth To Work On War Sequel After Wrapping Pathan
Updated : November 10, 2020 11:38 AM ISTSiddharth Annand has become a prominent name in the list of directors after the enormous success of his film War. Both the lead actors in the film Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff were excited to do a sequel to WAR with Sidharth. But now it seems like, Anand has another project lined up in his kitty and rather than directing the sequel, Siddharth has opted to direct Shah Rukh Khan in his comeback film first.
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer film, Pathan will go on the floors in early 2021, King Khan will portray an all-action based role. It would be the first time for the actor to play such a challenging role, both Shah Rukh and Anand have already started gearing up for the project. When it was asked to Sidharth that if Pathaan features Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, Anand said “Sorry, I can’t confirm or deny anything at this point as YRF(Yash Raj Films)’s PR handles all communications. I am bound by that, unfortunately.”
As per a report by Spotboye, Sidharth has neither confirmed nor denied the project or cast of the film, a source close to the portal informs, “Only Shah Rukh Khan in the title role is confirmed. The rest is all speculation right now. And the fees being attributed to the supposed star cast is totally off the mark. Shah Rukh will be doing intricate action sequences for Pathan, the kind he has never done before," says a source close to the development.
Meanwhile, speaking about WAR 2, the producers Yash Raj Films have two choices: they are either waiting for Siddharth Anand to complete the shoot of Pathan, or the sequel of WAR can be directed by another director. Yash Raj has come down to the conclusion that they have decided to wait for Sidharth to finish Pathan before moving on to WAR.
As per the source, “WAR 2 is all set to start in mid-2020. At the moment all that can be said is that it’s going to be much bigger than the first WAR film.”
