Sidharth Malhotra to foray into web series with a Rohit Shetty drama? Here's what we know

With the lockdown and the subsequent OTT boom, all actors have been looking forward to working for the web. In fact, in 2020 we saw many celebs make a comeback with web series, like Sushmita Sen and Chandrachur Singh, while many like Raveena Tandon and Madhuri Dixit will do so in the coming months. With the vast reach, many A-listers like Shahid Kapoor have also shot for their debut web series. Now, it looks like Sidharth Malhotra is also set to foray into OTT with a series, and it would be by none other than Rohit Shetty.

Well, if it's Rohit Shetty, it has to be an entertainer. According to a report in Pinkvilla, it would be a cop-based series. A source was quoted saying, “Sid and Rohit have been discussing a probable collaboration for a while now and things have finally fallen in place with this web show. It will take off next year and will be helmed by debutant Sushwanth Prakash. Though it’s a cop-based series, the tone and treatment are very different from what the audience has seen in the digital world.”

Rohit Shetty will be producing it, and would also double up as the showrunner. Well, there has been no official announcement on the same, but we hope this turns out to be true!
