Sonali Bendre Opens Up About Chemo Sessions, Her Battle With Cancer; Says ‘I Was Glamorous Through It All’

The gorgeous Sonali Bendre is not only an exceptionally talented actress, but also an incredibly strong and inspiring woman. Two years ago, the beauty revealed on social media that she has been diagnosed with a high-grade cancer and was undergoing treatment for the same in New York. Even while battling the disease, she was active on social media and regularly shared empowering posts, giving us glimpses of her journey. She is currently spending quality time with her family at home amid the coronavirus lockdown.

In a recent chat with Spotboye, Sonali shared that she has been doing well and stated that the last 2 years have been like a quarantine for her, so not much has changed due to the lockdown. The actress went on to talk about her journey and revealed that her husband Goldie Behl had motivated her to post a bald picture. Sonali also shared that she had her kaajal on even as she used to wake up through chemo sessions and added, “I was glamorous through it all.” She truly was!

When asked if she was ever worried about her hair coming back, the actress shared, “See, more than the hair, I was worried about the eyebrows and the eyelashes-.everything was gone. So of course, it was a big fear. Because you see all my life it has been about looks and I can't deny that. It was definitely a very insecure feeling, alongside. Everybody says it will come back and all that--- but you don't know if it will actually. I was very happy when my eyelashes and eyebrows started growing back.”
