Swara Bhaskar, Jay Bhanushali’s Short Gets An Official Selection At The Los Angeles Film Award

Veere Di Wedding was an immense success. However, Swara’s character which was at once appreciated and made fun of; courtesy her masturbation scene, therefore, she didn’t have much of a smooth sail.

However, there are no qualms about the fact that the lady is a fantastic actor and she has proved it time and again.

And now, another feather is attached to her cap as Suicide Company Pvt LTD, a Large Short Film featuring Jay Bhanushali and Swara has received an official entry to the prestigious Los Angeles Film Awards.

The film has been produced by Shaleen v Vaid and directed by an independent filmmaker Jehangir Iraniunder the Vistree banner. PragnyaTripathi and Jehangir have co-written the film and they based the story on the dark themes of depression and suicide. Pragnya was quite aware of the situation and the stories being a clinical psychologist herself!

The film has won multiple awards in the past and it has also received quite a few nominations internationally and nationally. The film did not just make official entries at film festivals like the Pune Short Film Festival, Rome Independent Prisma Film Award (Rome), the film won the Best Film in the Drama Category award in Toronto at the Alternative Film Festival, Best Screenplay at the Indian Film and Television Directors’ association Film Awards (IFTDA SHORTIES) and an Honourable mention at the Asia South East – Short Film Festival.
