Taapsee Pannu ALMOST Confirms Playing Mithali Raj In Her Biopic

The talk was on for a while, but now it is almost confirmed, Taapsee Pannu is playing Indian cricketer Mithali Raj’s role in her biopic. Although an official announcement has not been made yet, Taapsee made it very evident that the films is happening and she is indeed a part of it.

In a recent interaction with a leading tabloid Taapsee was asked about the Mithali Raj biopic to which she replied, “I’ve never played cricket and am looking forward to the challenge.” Interestingly, she has learned hockey for Soorma and sharpshooting for Saand Ki Aankh.

She further added, “I've been following Mithali since she asked why women cricketers are always asked about their favorite male cricketers and not vice versa. That remark has stayed with me, as actresses, even we are first asked who our co-star is when we sign a film.”

Apart from the biopic, Taapsee also has a really interesting line up of films. She will next be seen in Mission Mangal along with Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and more and after that, she has Saand Ki Aankh with Bhumi Pednekar. She has also signed Anubhav Sinha’s next film Thappad which would be based on marital issues.
