Taapsee Pannu Lauds Richa Chadha As She Wins Unconditional Apology With 'Certain Conditions' From Payal Ghosh

Richa Chadha’s defamation suit against Payal Ghosh has come to a settlement. The Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi actress has issued an unconditional apology to Richa before the Bombay High Court in the form of an undertaking.

Sharing the big news Richa simply wrote, ‘Done’, even though her fight against KRK and Telugu new channel that broadcasted Payal’s statement continues. The case against Payal has now been disposed off.

Taapsee Pannu who had earlier shown support to Anurag Kashyap in the case has now lauded Richa Chadha for her case and win against Payal. She replied to Richa's tweet and wrote, "Unconditional apology with “certain conditions” apparently. Ab kya bole behen.... but what a fight you put up."

Richa filed the defamation suit against Payal Ghosh after the latter in a statement to a news channel made Richa a part of her Me Too allegation against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and later went on to share it on social media. Comments were also made on Richa’s appearance post which she reacted by slapping a defamation case again Payal and demanded damages worth Rs. 1.1 crores.

Payal’s lawyer had told the Bombay High Court that the comments were made innocently post which the bench decided that the matter could be settled if an apology was issued to the Fukrey actress. Payal later took to Twitter and refused to apologise saying she hadn’t said anything wrong.

As for KRK the former Bigg Boss contestant’s lawyer has told the court that the critic and actor will refrain from making any public statements about the actress relating to the defamatory remarks. The court has given the news channel and KRK 4 weeks time to file a response.
