Twinkle Shares A Throwback Picture From Her School Days

Twinkle Khanna more than often has been making posts on social media that carry significant messages of change we need to bring as a society. Her recently throwback to a class photograph from her school days was no different. The writer and actress gave us a glimpse of her school days but only to raise awareness about girl child education.
Through the picture, Twinkle pointed out how two out of five girls in the country don’t even get to complete their schooling. She also challenged husband Akshay Kumar, actress Sonam Kapoor and Tahira Kashyap to share pictures of their school days to carry on the message.

Twinkle captioned the picture, ‘Growing up, as you can see not only did I have the same hairstyle as my class teacher( why? why? why?) but studying and doing well was very important to me and it all helped me to become an independent woman. 2/5 girls still don’t complete school. The Badshah actress also pointed out how during her school days she had a hairstyle exactly like her teacher, that fact itself doesn’t really make it hard for fans to place her amongst her classmates. Twinkle has been a big champion of women issues and has also produced Akshay Kumar’s PadMan that aimed at raising awareness about menstrual hygiene.
