Twitterati Reacts To Vicky Kaushal's National Award Win
Updated : August 09, 2019 06:26 PM ISTToday, two of the finest actors of the Hindi Film Industry right now- Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana, jointly received the National Award for Best Actor. While the former won it for Uri: The Surgical Strike, the later bagged it for his performance in Andhadhun. This news has gotten everyone to celebrate and congratulatory messages are pouring in for both these immensely talented actors. But, not all is well. Looks like a number of people are not happy with Vicky Kaushal’s win.
It’s not like people are not happy with Vicky Kaushal’s win. There are a number of tweets congratulating the actor. Here are a few of them:

undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >Congratulations @vickykaushal09 getting #NationalFilmAwards2019 for #UriTheSurgicalStrike . Now Josh is High for that kind of movie. I like that kind of movie content which is based on our Patriotism . ??

But there are also a number of tweets which do not seem too delighted about Vicky’s win. One of the Twitter users claimed the Uri: The Surgical Strike would not even qualify for National Awards because it released in 2019.
undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >#UriTheSurgicalStrike how nonsensical, Uri doesn't even qualify for nomination this year
— Human Being (@HumanityAbvAll) August 9, 2019
Well, the films that were considered were those which were given certification between 1st January 2018 and 31st December 2018. Even though Uri: The Surgical Strike released on 11th January 2019, the makers had received certification within the date.
Some user said that even though she loves Vicky as an actor, this performance did not deserve a National Award.
undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >Vicky is a really good actor but him winning for #UriTheSurgicalStrike is so disappointing. He won't ever be able to deny that he didn't deserve the win "This" year! #nationalawards
