Vidya Balan Tears Up As She Sings A Heart Wrenching Song Against Body Shaming, Twitter Lauds Her As An Eye Opener
Vidya Balan Tears Up As She Sings A Song Against Body Shaming
Updated : May 30, 2019 01:09 PM ISTVidya Balan has always taken a strong stand against body shaming as she has personally faced criticism for the way she looked and carried herself. The Tumhari Sulu actress has been shamed for her fashion sensibilities right from the days of her film Heyy Baby and has been called out for not fitting into the league of the skimpy skinny actresses that Bollywood has stereod in movies through the years. Vidya finally put all that together in a video that sends across a hard-hitting message against body shaming that will truly move you.
One can see tears roll down her eyes as she talks about body shamming through a series of Bollywood songs where we see Vidya draped in a black saree singing about fat shaming, height and weight differences, discrimination based on color and all the jokes that are casually cracked by people on these issues.
Twitter lauded Vidya for the video that went viral in no time sharing. Check out how the Twitter users reacted.

Vidya managed to break all the stereos that she has talked about in the video and made her strong female-centric movies stand out purely on the basis of content and performances. She is now an ambassador for breaking the norm of body stereotypes in Bollywood.
Vidya was last seen in the film Tumhari Sulu in 2017 and is all set to star in Mission Mangal that releases on Independence Day 2019.
