Updated : October 19, 2020 06:29 PM ISTAlmost everyone out here can agree that they have grown up reading Agatha Christie's detective novels. Not just would they keep us hooked, but would also compel us to read more. But, how would it be if her novels were turned to films, that too in Hindi?

Well, looks like that's what director Vishal Bhardwaj has planned. Known for his brilliant adaptations of Shakesperean plays like Macbeth (Maqbool), Hamlet (Haider) and Othello (Omkara), Vishal seems to now have his attention turned to Christie. According to a report in Variety, he is planning to make a franchise based on Agatha Christie's novels. The series would apparently feature a lnew pair of lead investigators, whose casting is still being finalised. The shoot of the first part of the franchise would begin in 2021. This film would introduce the young heroine, who has the task to solve murders and gthen finds an unlikely companion to do so. Meanwhile, there is no confirmation about which specific novels the director has picked.

This already sounds so brilliant, isn't it? Given how Vishal Bhardwaj has handled the Shakespearean tragedies, we are pretty sure that he would do absolute justice to Agatha Christie's works as well. What do you think?
