Kushal Punjabi’s Close Friend Chetan Hansraj Recalls What Transpired Last Night, Reveals Shocking Details

The sudden demise of the popular TV actor Kushal Punjabi has shocked all his colleagues and fans. It was revealed that the 37-year-old actor had committed suicide due to his failing marriage with wife Audrey Dolhen. The police had also found a suicide letter where Kushal has divided his property between his parents and his son and has not blamed anyone for his death.

Actor Chetan Hansraj, who has been a close friend of Kushal, recently talked to the press and revealed some shocking details about what really transpired last night. He said, “His parents called me up late at night and said that Kushal isn't opening the door. We called the chabbi wala and when we opened the door and we found his body hung over the ceiling. We were all dead shocked and I still cannot believe that this has happened. We tried CPR but it was too late.” He further added, “He was normally depressed, like sad. We used to chat about it. No one ever thought he would take such a step.”

When asked about his marriage woes, Hansraj said, “I didn't know. I also got to know after. He did not confide in me about what the scene was. One month ago only he said about the situation. He was a bit low but never thought he would take such a drastic measure.” On being asked if his son knows about the incident, he said, “I hope not ya. He is very young. Just 3 or 4-year-old.” Kushal also informed that his last rites would be performed tomorrow by his parents.

Desimartini was also able to get in touch with the watchman of Kushal’s building who informed that his wife and son, who has been living in Shanghai post the separation have already boarded the flight to reach India for the last rites. The watchman also said that the his body will not be brought to the building as he was a tenant there and instead would be taken to his parents’ house in Andheri.
