Bipasha Basu Reacts To Parth Samthaan Testing Positive For COVID-19: Actors Shoot Without Protection, It’s Just Plain Risky

Actress Bipasha Basu feels shoots need to stop after Kasauttii Zinadgii Kay actor Parth Samthaan tested positive for COVID-19 days after he resumed work. The news brought the shoot of the show to a grinding halt and so far Parth’s co-stars Karan Patel, Amna Sharif and Puja Banerjee have tested negative after they were tested.

Bipasha conveyed her feelings in a comment she dropped on photographer Viral Bhayani’s post which reported Parth had tested positive. She wrote, “All shoots should stop till the situation is a little better. Actors are the most vulnerable.. most of the unit is protected with all ppe, gloves, masks, shields. But actors have to shoot without any protection. It’s just plain risky.”

The shoot for Kasautii Zindagii Kay began in late June following all safety guidelines and was halted after Parth’s diagnosis. Bipasha’s husband and actor Karan Singh Gover who was also a part of the show before the lockdown quit as he left it wasn’t yet safe to begin shooting. The actor who played Mr. Bajaj on the show was then replaced by Karan Patel.

Actor Karan Thakur also quit the show not wanting to travel to sets during the pandemic.

In the meanwhile, Parth shared a post confirming the news of his diagnosis on Sunday, 12 July and stated he was showing mild symptoms and will be quarantined at home.
