Non-Bailable Case Registered Against Yuvika

Some weeks back, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Munmun Dutta used a casteist slur and faced the wrath of the general public. Some days back, people protested against Yuvika Chaudhary for using the same slur in one of her videos. Now, while a third FIR has been registered against the former, the latter faces possible arrest after a case has been registered against her under a non-bailable section of the Indian Penal Code.

According to reports, Haryana's Hansi Police has registered a case against Yuvika Chaudhary under Section 3 (1) (u) of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Atrocities Act. Investigations have begun already too and police will soon issue a notice to the actress. On the other hand, an FIR has been filed for the third time against Munmun Dutta. Mumbai police said that the actor has been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Atrocities Act and the Indian Penal Code. In the past, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh police had also filed FIRs against the actor for the same objectionable video.

Both the actors had posted apology videos and while Yuvika claimed she did not know the meaning of the term, Munmun Dutta said she suffered from a language barrier.
