Vivek Dahiya says his first date with Divyanka Tripathi was 'forced', reveals her mom liked him before she did

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are celebrating 5 years of togetherness. On this day five years back, the two tied the knot in a dreamy wedding ceremony. Now, as they complete half a decade of marital bliss, Vivek has opened up about his first date with lady love Divyanka.

In a recent interview, he has revealed that he was forced to go on this date. In fact, before Divyanka opened up about whether she liked him or not, he had gotten her mother's approval. Speaking to Times Now, Vivek has said, "We were patched by a colleague. An actor who used to work with us, he knew me personally and he knew her also personally. I was not looking (for someone). Her mom (Divyanka's mom) was looking for someone for her, so she told him (the actor) that 'if you find a good boy, a suitable boy, you please call me'. So he called her and told her that this (Vivek) is the same guy who played a cop in the show. So she said, 'oh ya I like him'."

But once he went for the date, he knew Divyanka was the one. He added, "And then, he sent us on a date - he forced us to go on a date and on that day itself I kind of made up my mind that she (Divyanka) is going to be the one. On the very first date - we didn't know each other, we were just talking and realised that eventually we could (marry)."

Divyanka had earlier opened up about how each of them were interviewed by family members before the wedding. The two worked together iin Yeh Hai Mohabattein. Now, while Divyanka has shot for Khatron ke Khiladi 11, Vivek will be seen in State of Seige: Temple Attack.
