Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli are married, here are the first pictures from the wedding

Actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli tied the knot on December 11 at a heritage resort in Tuscany, Italy. The wedding ceremony was attended by close friends and family and came as a surprise to fans. Both Kohli and Anushka released an official statement accompanied by a couple of pictures from the ceremony.

Anushka took to Twitter to confirm her wedding and wrote, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

Virat also took to Twitter to share the news and shared a different picture from their wedding.

We see both Anushka and Virat beaming, and wishes from fans have already started to pour in. Top fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has designed the wedding ensemble for both the bride and the groom. Virat and Anushka will invite friends from the industry and colleagues for the celebrations that are set to happen in Mumbai on December 26.

They will also be hosting a reception in New Delhi on December 21 for their relatives. After the festivities, the two will travel to South Africa together, where Virat will begin to prepare for the upcoming series and will ring in the New Year together.

The two met while shooting for an advertisement and have been in a relationship since then. Virat’s Instagram posts with Anushka Sharma have always given relationship goals to their fans and the way he stood up for Anushka or the way she supported him through tough times are things that the two share about each other.
