Acclaimed Kannada actress Shruti weds for 2nd time

Southern sensation Shruti, who has achieved huge success in Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam films by winning four Filmfare awards and two State awards, got married for the second time to journalist-turned-filmmaker Chandrachud on Thursday.

The ceremony was a private affair for the long-time couple. Earlier, the actress was married to director Mahendar for eleven years and also has a daughter with him. Later citing complications in their relationship, the actress filed divorce and got the verdict two years later. Immediately after filing for divorce, her romantic relationship with Chandrachud became public. Sources also revealed that they were childhood friends.

The couple was neighbours and also schoolmates since their early days. Though, it was heard some time ago that the couple was going through a rough phase in their relationship, now it seems they have been going steady as they entered wedlock in a Kollur temple. The private wedding ceremony was attended by close friends and family-members only. Sources also disclosed that Shruti decided to marry on her daughter's birthday.
