Actress Shriya Saran shares experiences of filming Chandra

It has been a beautiful journey for actress Shriya Saran while shooting Roopa Iyer’s Chandra which deals with the life of a princess and her love of life. The actress said she has gained some most memorable memories in her life while filming Chandra.
Shriya said, "Every day, I got to dress up like a princess and live an adventurous life. Chandra is a very talented girl who sings, dances, is well-versed in martial arts and learns a thing or two about life. It's her love story, and I must say, an interesting one at that.” The actress also took lessons of an ancient martial art form, Kalaripayattu, for her role of Chandra. "It's artistic and graceful, but requires a lot of energy and stamina. Because of this film, I got the opportunity to learn a totally interesting defence form," the 31-year-old actress added.

When asked how far Chandra and Shriya are similar in reality, the actress smiled and said, "They both are characters that people can relate to; both have a heart to learn, are honest and sincere in their work. The story of the film is relatable, and anyone who watches it will fall in love with Chandra, just the way I did." With Chandra Shriya will be seen in a Tamil film after almost 3 years. The actress said more, "I want the audience to appreciate the hardwork that the entire team has put in, and enjoy the film.” Chandra, also starring Prem Kumar, is hitting the big screens today.
