Adhi to score music for Smurfs 2 in desi way

Tamil rapperAdhi, who got fame from his hit rap Hip Hop Tamizha has gone international. Well, the rapper has got an opportunity to compose a song entitled Na Na for the forthcoming sequel of Smurfs, Smurfs 2, “When I got a call asking me to score music for a film, I thought it was a Tamil movie. They said, Smurfs 2, and I was shocked. I've seen the first part and now, I was being asked to be part of the team of the second version. There are so many people in India but they chose me.”

Adhi didn’t forget to add regional flavour to his composition. The track with theme ‘Be who you are’ is having a line in Tamil ‘Nesippen uyir ulla varai Tamizh mannai’. He also shared his recording experience saying, “I went to Mumbai for the session and gave them a scratch. As the movie will appeal to children, I wanted some kids and soon, they arranged someexcitingtalents from Indian Idol. And, recording with them was asuperbexperience.” The Na Na track will be used at the end of the movie and also for the promotional purpose, as revealed by the composer.

The A. R. Rahman fan follows many hip hop artists for guidance. The actor has no plans to head towards acting as he is not sure for his acting skills. He stated that music will remain his priority. Adhi expressed his joy of getting such a big offer, “My initial idea was to star in and compose music for a Tamil film. However, as this came to me, I just took it up. Interestingly, this is my first film as composer and it's not a Kollywood or a Bollywood film — it's Hollywood!”
