Akshay Kumar Is Not Playing A Baddie In 2.0

Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 is one of the awaited movies. The film is sequel to 2010 film Enthiran. It will mark Akshay Kumar’s debut in Tamil cinema. Ever since the movie’s poster has been revealed, fans have gone gaga over the looks of both the actors.

For a long time now, we have been hearing that Akshay Kumar will essay the negative role in the film. However, now we have heard that the flick will not star Akshay as a baddie. “Akshay is not a villain in 2.0. The costume and prosthetics suggest he plays a ferocious character. And he does!  But Akshay’s role as Dr. Richard is fighting for the right causes. He struggles against forces that have plundered and devastated the earth,” said a source.

The source added that the makers removed all the rough edges in the villain’s character when Khiladi Kumar joined. The source further said, “It was never a villainous part even when it was offered to Kamal Haasan. Once Akshay came in, even the hints of negativity were removed as they clashed with his image of the national hero.” 2.0 stars Amy Jackson as the female lead.
