Anjali accuses stepmother and director Mu Kalanjiyam of harassment

Harassment by her own family has been the reason forSettaigirl Anjali to shift to Hyderabad, according to the actress herself. Bharathi Devi, who used to accompany her to shooting venues as well as several events, is heard to be her stepmother instead of her own mother. Director Mu Kalanjiyam has also been accused by the actress in harassing her.

A source from the industry revealed, "According to Anjali's statement, her step-mom and director Mu Kalanjiyam are allegedly harassing her, and her family in Chennai has swindled the money she has earned acting in films so far. So, she says she has been left with no choice but to flee to Hyderabad. She has also said that if anything happens to her, the blame should fall on her stepmother and Kanlanjiyam." Anjali could not be reached in Hyderabad, though. The actress has also alleged that her step-mother used to exploit her as an “ATM machine”. The filmmaker was quite shocked to know that the actress has also named him in her allegations, "I'm really baffled why Anjali dragged my name into this. I don't have any connection with her and her family except for the fact that I introduced her in films. That film (Sathamindri Muthamidu) never saw the light of the day but her family continued to consult with me on her future projects as a well-wisher.”

The director is also in a dilemma as he has no clue if the actress would work with him any more for his upcoming filmOor Suttri Puranam, as he said,"She has already shot for 15 days for the film and never complained. She has even given me dates in May for the next schedule. Now, I am worried what will happen to the film since it is my own production. I have already invested ` 40 lakh in the film.” In the meantime, it has been heard that the actress would not feature in Tamil films any more. On the contrary a source disclosed that the actress is eagerly looking forward to acting in Sundar'sKalakalappu 2which will go on floors in July this year.
