Ashok Selvan’s Next Will Be Based On Demonetisation

Ashok Selvan has teamed up with debutant Karthik Vilvakrish for his new film. The film is said to revolve around demonetisation. The actor made his breakthrough playing one of the lead roles in Soodhu Kavvum (2013), before gaining critical acclaim for his performances in C. V. Kumar's productions Pizza II: Villa and Thegidi.

Talking about the film, he said, “The film is about a scam that happened during demonetisation. It is a real incident that we have adapted for the film. It is a very interesting and engaging script. Samudrakani sir is also part of the project and he plays an important role. We begin shooting for the film from next month”.

Moreover, Ashok will also play the lead role in another upcoming Indian Tamil romantic comedy film, written and directed by Nirman. He also has Oxygen in which he will play the role of an officer, for which he is shooting currently. He says, “We have finished one schedule and shooting the next one now. It is a crime thriller, where I play a customs officer”.
