Chaya Singh To Star In Dhanush’s Directorial Debut

Chaya Singh who was paired with Dhanush in her debut film ‘Thiruda Thirudi’ will reunite with the actor after thirteen years. The duo’s iconic song ‘Manmadha Rasa’ made their landmark in the Kollywood industry. As per media reports doing rounds, Chaya Singh has been in roped in for Dhanush’s directorial debut ‘Power Pandi’.

During an interview with the  Deccan Chronicles, the 35-year-old actress said, “Thiruda Thirudi’s director Subramaniyam Siva, who is working on Power Pandi, referred me to Dhanush. Later we all met, and Dhanush agreed that I fit the role. I won’t be seen throughout the film though. It’s a simple and sweet role!”

The actress revealed that Dhanush was lucid in what he wanted from the cast and she did not even feel that she was working with a maiden director. “Dhanush is child-like with the kids on the sets. When the actor is also a director, the work is a lot easier as he knows what he wants. I will resume shooting by the end of December”, she added.
