First Look of Danush and Balaji Mohan's Maari revealed.

First look of Balaji Mohan’s Maari starring Dhanush released recently. This Tamil drama film is said to be different from Mohan’s previous films Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum. The film will see Dhanush in the role of a tailor who belongs to north Madras.

Mohan has confirmed that Maari will not be a bilingual and added it was "definitely not a love story". Maari is co-produced by Sarathkumar, Raadhika Sarathkumar and Listin Stephen under the production banner of Magic Frames. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen as the female lead whereas the background score has been given by Anirudh Ravichander.

This is Mohan’s third film in Tamil. The director also has 1 Telugu and 1 Malayalam film to his credit. He is known for his romantic films and exclusive music. Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadiis his firstfull-length bilingual film after shooting many short films. On the other hand, Dhanush is currently working on Anegan by K.V. Anand, Soodhadi by Vetrimaaran and Shamitabh by R. Balki.
