Director Vijay’s Next ‘Karu’ Might Star Sai Pallavi

Filmmaker Vijay’s upcoming action adventure ‘Vanamagan’ is all set for release on May 19. According to recent reports, the director’s next project will likely star Sai Pallavi in the lead. The venture is reportedly titled ‘Karu’.

It’s a known fact that Vijay will be making the Tamil version of 2015 Malayalam language romantic drama ‘Charlie’. However, the movie has been pushed back for some reasons. “It is true that Vijay will be working on a crime-thriller titled Karu, before the Charlie remake commences”, a source stated, adding, “This project will be bankrolled by Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions. The pre-production work on the project will kickstart post the release of Vanamagan”.

Speculations are rife that Vijay will star working upon the remake of Charlie will start rolling towards the end of the year. But, no official announcement on the same has been made yet. Madhavan and Sai Pallavi have been brought on board to reprise Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy’s roles, respectively, in the Kollywood version.
