Dream turns to reality for Lakshmi Menon

Lakshmi Menon has said that her dream of working with Ajith has come true. The 18-year-old actress has been cast in Thala 56 opposite actor Ajith. The movie will be helmed by Siva and features Ajith and Shruti Hasaan in the lead roles. Lakshmi Menon will be seen essaying the role of Ajith’s sister in the film.

The Sundarapandian star shared the news via her Facebook page, "Hai everybody, I am really excited to write... I don't know what to say... It's one of my dream no, I should say it would be anybody's dream to act with AJITH SIR: the THALA of Kollywood and TODAY the dream is getting true. I am egarly waiting for each moment's of my new project with him. And request your prayers and wishes for my new project".

The movie is set to go under production from today. The filmmakers are eying November 9 as the release date, a source close to the development revealed to FilmiBeat. The music for Thala 56 will be composed by Anirudh.
