Fareed Makes His Directorial Debut With Period Film
Updated : October 26, 2017 03:23 PM ISTFareed, who co-produced films like Kalavani, is making his debut as a director with the movie Veeraiyan. The film is set in the 90’s in Tanjore and stars Inigo Prabhakaran and Shiney in the lead roles. The debutant director said that he has attempted a new style of narration in the flick.
Talking about the film, Fareed said, “There are three different dimensions handled in the movie — the bond between a father and son, an intense love track and the life of three carless youngsters. These stories will converge 15 minutes after the film begins and their journey is narrated in an interesting manner.” He added, “The circumstances will take forward the story, which is told in a realistic manner.”
When asked about the reason of a period setup, he said, “When you watch the movie, you will know why I chose the film to be set in the 90s. We had difficulties in finding a place without cable connections, telephone towers, etc. This film will be a dedication to the people of Tanjore.”
The flick also stars Aadukalam Naren, Vela Ramamoorthy, Kayal Vincent and Vasanth in supporting roles. The movie is slated to release in November.
