Huma Will Not Romance Rajinikanth In ‘Kaala’

Ever since Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ was announced, reports surfaced that the makers will rope a leading Bollywood actress to romance Rajini. Later, it was reported that actress Huma Qureshi will play the superstar’s leading lady. The film, produced by Dhanush, will mark the actress’ debut in Tamil cinema.

But now we have heard that Huma will not be romancing the Thalaivar in the movie. "Huma is not playing Rajini sir's love interest in the film. Actress Easwari Rao plays his pair, while Huma will be seen in a pivotal role," revealed a source close to the film’s unit.

The movie which is directed by Pa. Ranjith will see Huma playing the character of Zareen who helps Rajinikanth to take on Nana Patekar, who plays a cruel politician. Rajinikanth will be essaying the role of a slum lord-turned-gangster. This will be Rajini’s second movie with Pa. Ranjith after ‘Kabali'. Apart from Huma and Rajinikanth, the movie will also feature Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi and Samuthirakani.
