Ilaiyaraaja to be on screen for a song for Selva

Director Selvahas managed to convince thesinger, Ilaiyaraajafor his appearance in a song in his forthcoming movie,Naadi Thudikuthadi.The songKadhale Illadha Desam Engirukkuof the film is shot in Fiji Islands.

The director says,"Raaja sir plays himself in the number, and it shows him shooting for a single that he's composed for a young band. We filmed the number in December, and have shown the maestro in a completely different light. We have shot the number in several locations. There's a particular sequence which we shot in a dessert, surrounded by sea, which will be the highlight of the number".

Selva further comments that the producer of the film, Pazha Karuppaiah came up with the idea. The director added that 69-year-old singer was not convinced earlier but when it was told to him that the scene will not look like forced than he agreed.
