Indian President Invites Kamal Haasan For Tea Party

The President of India recently honoured the ambassadors of ‘Swachch Bharat’ (Clean India) campaign. The ambassadors, appointed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also included our ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan. A Tea party was organised by the President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapathi Bhavan.

Stars from Bollywood such as Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, with Animal Rights activist Amala Nagarjuna, God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar, leading Entrepreneur Anil Ambhani, Music director and singer Shankar Mahadevan with many others were present on the occasion. Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, presented the first copy of a booklet on the Clean India campaign to the President.

PM made an appeal to the ambassadors to work hard and use all of their resources in order to popularize the Clean India campaign. Various measures to make India litter free were also discussed. An oath was taken by the ambassadors to implement the valuable suggestions.
