Jilla to release on Pongal, it’s official now

Vijay’s highly-speculated upcoming film, Jilla, is scheduled to release during Pongal and it has been officially confirmed by the producers of the film, Super Good Films. The poster of the film, featuring Vijay and Mohanlal, hints that the two co-stars share a great bond in the film.

As Jilla has been confirmed to release during Pongal, it means that the Vijay-Kajal Aggarwal starrer will clash with Thala Ajith’s Veeram at the box-office. Probabilities are there that Jilla also faces competition from Rajinikanth's much awaited Kochadaiiyaan which is also looking out for a slot during the same season only. R.T. Nesan’s Jilla also stars Goundamani, Mahat Raghavendra and Niveda Thomas in other key roles. After the roaring success of Thuppakki, this is the second time Vijay and Kajal will be pairing up once again. The much-awaited thriller, Jilla, has music composed by D. Imman.
